Community Cookbook: Queenstown launches community family recipes for the first time, combining tradition and health

In an effort to extend our reach into the community, ServiceSG started a pilot Lions Befrienders (Tampines 499C) this month to provide frequently used government services to seniors virtually through video-conferencing!

Going digital improves lives. Through the Digital for Life movement, we want to help everyone enjoy its benefits, so that we can move forward together in a digitally-inclusive society.

A whopping total of $68,888 was raised for Lions Befrienders, one of the beneficiaries of PSA’s Health@Home #CSR efforts, to support the I-OK Ecosystem which uses technology to help seniors age in place.

Charity organisations face a variety of challenges in recruiting and retaining volunteers — as well as those that sign up but don’t don’t show up — prompting measures such as screening applicants and ensure volunteers are committed to the cause. Asia First’s Andrea Heng and Hairianto Diman find out how organisations cope from Karen Wee, Executive Director, Lions Befrienders.

Since July 2023, the Lions Club of Singapore Bedok has been dedicated to bringing joy and care to our community through our ongoing monthly service project at Lions Befrienders Clementi 420A Active Aging Centre.
