Aim of role:
Assist and empower seniors to self-monitor and self-report their current well-being to their Next-Of-Kin and Lions Befrienders’ staff through IM-OK device.


Role Responsibilities:
- To engage senior(s) through home visits at least 2-4 times per month, supplemented by 1-2 phone calls, depending on need.
- To provide companionship to seniors and bring them some relief to their loneliness, isolation, or boredom i.e., doing activities together
- To help support senior by assisting in meeting simple ad-hoc informal care requests where possible, i.e., how to troubleshoot use of mobile phones, etc.
- To submit brief engagement report (check-calls report) after each home visit or session
- To update programme staff on seniors’ progress and well-being, and to highlight to programme staff for any necessary referrals

Location:
Island-wide locations. Expected to travel
Commitment Level / Frequency:
4 home visits within 6 to 8 weeks for each senior
Requirements & Skills
- Available on weekdays or weekends (preferably day time)
- Tech-savvy
- Interested in technology
- Great inter-personal skills with an approachable personality
- Fluent in one Mother Tongue or Dialects
*New IM-OK volunteers will have to attend a Training before commencement
