Lions Befrienders and TUMCREATE Sign MoU to Study Optimal Light Exposure in Seniors

We had our BoardMatch Networking & Lunch Event recently! BoardMatch is the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC)’s signature service that connects senior executives with charities’ boards to foster impactful collaborations.

As part of Great Eastern’s CSR efforts and in partnership with LB, we visited elderly residents in LB AAC @ Ghim Moh 18, bringing a little companionship, conversation, and joy to their Friday afternoon.

We kicked off our first #SeniorEmpowerment session, where we shared #AntiScam principles to 30+ seniors, consolidating the wisdom shared by the Singapore Police Force, National Crime Prevention Council Singapore, Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), Lions Befrienders, CPF Board, and Singapore Management University!

Jointly organised by MINDSG Ltd and LB, this marked the 2nd edition of Dell’s Hackathon-with-a-Heart, with the theme centred on solving social isolation challenges faced by persons with intellectual disabilities (PWIDs) and the vulnerable aged community.

Silver Generation Ambassadors (SGAs), our teammates and community partners came together to traverse our community nodes, symbolically passing the baton to commemorate our shared journey in caring for older adults.

Team members from Delta Singapore Research Center recently visited the Lions Befrienders Active Aging Centre, where we had the pleasure of hosting enthusiastic seniors, guiding them through a hands-on demo that highlighted how the AIDEN service robot can enhance their daily lives.

We kicked off the 2nd edition of Dell InnovateFest with finalists from our partnering Institutions of Higher Learning across 2 tracks. This year, we extend our collaboration with MINDSG Ltd and introduce new community partner, Lions Befrienders, to tackle social issues faced by Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PWIDs) and the vulnerable aged.

Active Health Coaches in Sport Singapore spent an afternoon with staff & volunteers from Esther & Lions Befrienders AAC to train them to assist members in their activity centres to perform simple exercises & maintain an active lifestyle.
