BEFRIENDING SERVICE FOR VULNERABLE SENIORS
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA (wef APRIL 2005)

A senior who fulfills the following criteria will be considered as vulnerable and eligible:

1) A Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident;

2) 65 years old and above;

3) Has no or limited family support; and

4) Is at risk of social isolation due to sociological, psycho-emotional or physical reasons.

Applicant who does not meet the criteria but has extenuating reasons would be considered on a case-by-case basis.
