Job Title : Finance Manager

Purpose of Position

  • Reporting to the DED, the Finance Manager will work closely with the senior management to strengthen the Association’s financial health.
  • You are required to evaluate the industry’s best practices in comparison to our internal processes with an eye on the budget and the future needs of the Association. You will monitor process compliance and completeness of documents.
Responsibilities :
  • Oversee the management of the full set of accounts (preparation of the monthly Income and Expenditure Statement, consolidation of the yearly budget)
  • Ensure that the accounting system and work flow adheres to good governance practice insuring data integrity
  • Perform analysis of financial health of the Association
  • Oversee audit preparation
  • Monitor cash inflow and outflow to anticipate routine cash needs, keeping a keen eye on the budget the prevent overruns
  • Oversee end of the financial duties such as tax preparation, depreciation, inventory/fixed asset management
Knowledge & Experience :
  • Proficient in MS Office applications such as MsWord, Excel etc
  • Min 5 years relevant finance or accounts in a supervisory position
  • Good knowledge in using different accounting systems (ie Quickbook, Easypay, Exchequer)
  • Independent and good team player
  • Critical thinker with initiative and drive
